Being a Positive Change Agent in Chaotic Times

In these days, it seems as we reflect on a myriad of events around the world that these are indeed times of unprecedented unpredictability and change.  Similarly,  I have observed that many individuals clients and friends alike, are also experiencing or considering a need for big significant changes on a personal level. It’s as if events of a political and global nature are being reflected on the personal level, as individuals feel a need for an increased degree of equality and harmony in all their relationships.

Change can be exciting, but well, unsettling too, for there are no guarantees. All our normal expectations come apart at the hinges and unravel as we move forward into the unknown.

At times like this, faith and hope might seem logical or counterintuitive, but I would dare to suggest that that is precisely when they are needed most. Not a blind trust, but one based upon reflection,  a deep connection with your conscience and a vision of progress and goodwill for everyone involved.

Times like these might even call for action and stepping out of your comfort zone occasionally, as you explore what it means to live in your own personal integrity. Look for unexpected opportunities and options. Perhaps consider taking a daring but reasonable risk and remember that for a while, breakthrough can definitely feel and look like breakdown.

But in your course of reflection, do remember to take time to nurture and renew yourself because significant change is a process that takes focus, dedication, inspired vision and yes…time! So in your process, do take time to truly imagine what a successful outcome might look and feel like. It’s motivating and important to be able to focus your energy productively.

So dream the dream, make the vision, keep the faith, show kindness and believe for change to happen you need to imagine it, believe in it and work for it!

Believe it, do it and dare to be a white-hot flame that catalyzes positive change.
