Do I need any previous energy work experience to learn Reiki?
No, you do not need any previous energy work training before taking Reiki I. Although, it is advisable to book a sample session with me prior to training to get a fuller understanding of what Reiki can include.
Does Reiki really bring physical healing?
Yes, the stories of actual physical healing with Reiki are numerous and any active Reiki practitioner usually starts accumulating their own stories from their personal experience.
Is Reiki guaranteed to bring physical healing?
Sometimes the road to physical healing includes a number of major lessons to be learned whether they are healing of past traumas, or learning to take care of yourself responsibly including getting a sensible mix of high-quality healthy foods, perhaps vitamins and herbal supplements, exercise and adequate REST!
If I have studied with a previous Reiki teacher, can I finish my certification process with you?
Absolutely! Many of the students who have finished their Reiki Master training with me, originally started their training with another teacher. We are drawn to teachers for a variety of different reasons and I simply recommend that if you are wondering- go within your heart and listen to which Reiki training program seems right to you.
If I have studied with another Reiki teacher what do I need to do?
Auditing:
If you started with another teacher, I do recommend auditing the class again with me as there is a lot of variance in what is taught and shared in the different levels of Reiki I-III.
I have been offering auditing for a while now and it has been hugely successful as many students feel like they did not get a thorough grasp of the basics in their previous course of Reiki I or II.
Based on where you are at in your skill set, I will most likely require that you audit or repeat the course with me before you proceed to your next level. I will need to see documentation of your Reiki certification before qualifying for an audit option.
Auditing a course includes that you get to participate in the full course and do receive the attunements in all over again, yet you will not receive a certificate at the end. It does however qualify you to all the additional course information that I have and follow-up meetings related to the course, plus being able to take the next level. Audit of Reiki I or II costs $100 per course.
Do most of your students practice Reiki professionally?
While many of my students do actively include Reiki treatments in their coaching, chaplaincy or professional massage work, it is also equally true that many of my students work as professional psychologists or in management, finance, education, health care, medical research and human resources.
The Reiki energy permeates your aura and brings a different vibration or essence to your life in general and your workplace, which is felt on many different levels such as decision-making, enhanced collaborative skills and a greater feeling of peace and joy.
Will studying Reiki change my life?
Yes, definitely! Attunement to Reiki energy, reconfigures your aura and triggers your pathway of spiritual growth.
The pathway of your spiritual journey is just as unique as you are and varies depending on your life situation, karmic contracts and life purpose plus and your present-day challenges and mastery.
Will studying Reiki help facilitate my spiritual journey?
Again, yes definitely! Attunement to Reiki energy does help accelerate your progression on your spiritual journey.
However, learning Reiki is not the only valid path to significant spiritual growth. Yet, it is a significant gift from the Angelic Realm and it is up to YOU to decide if and when you are called to this unique training!
Do I lose some of my Reiki skills if I don’t practice?
Your Reiki attunement is a valid no matter when you took it. But it is such a significant role for physical renewal and spiritual development that it is advisable to practice it often at least on yourself. And if possible, with friends!
Does taking the Reiki training means I will never be sick again?
Usually taking Reiki training, means that we are given the tools and insight to learn from our body’s messages, assist our body’s natural healing processes and help gain insight into how to take care of ourselves better.
Because of this many practitioners feel that they experience less illness and are able to move through it with greater ease.
But it is important to be good to yourself and others, and not judge your illnesses or other’s as a sign of their skill or spiritual maturity. Eg. Even the Dalai Lama has glasses and needs surgery sometimes 🙂
I have received training in different energy modalities-do I need Reiki too?
This is an interesting question that I imposed with sometimes and being that I have such a broad spectrum of energy work training… my answer would be, “Do you feel it would be an asset to you? Do you feel drawn to study it? ”
A number of my students who have had different energy work backgrounds, especially Goddess energy and have enjoyed Reiki training and feel that it is highly useful to have a number of diverse ways of working. They all are also amazed at how easy it is to learn and practice it!
I’m curious about taking Reiki but am nervous about what my friends and family will think of it… what do I do?
Many who are new to Reiki are not yet out of the Reiki closet, publicly sharing this with their friends and family, while others feel comfortable talking about it.
Usually, I suggest to all my students that they go within and see what feels right for YOU.
Reiki is a wonderful gift for sharing and it is usual to feel very excited about your Reiki training…. however, many students find that it is much more comfortable to be private about it for a while until they digest using the energy and feel comfortable with the changes that it brings about in their life.
Who knows- perhaps you already are surrounded by a number of Reiki practitioners who are simply still in the closet?
Can children learn Reiki?
Absolutely! Children love Reiki energy and are naturals at learning this quickly.
Children from the age of about 2-3 and up can receive Reiki attunements to Reiki I and learn to integrate Reiki into their everyday life, healing themselves, family and pets alike! See my page on Reiki for Kids
Are some children born with the ability to do Reiki?
That there are some children born with psychic skills and/or the natural ability to easily do energy work has always been the case, but the frequency with which children are born with psychic skills has indeed increased over the last 20 years with the influx of the many starseed children, often referred to as Indigo Children and Crystal Children.
These children are bringing many important energies for significant change for the planet and the human race in general.
Indigo and Crystal children often question traditional authority and can be a challenge and a tremendous blessing throughout their growing up years! If you suspect you have an indigo or Crystal child I would suggest you familiarize yourself with some of the useful information that is available.
Because of this, Reiki training and psychic skills training might be a useful investment for both your child and your family.
